11" tall bulbous pitcher. c. 1798. Transfer features oval portrait of the second President flanked by Liberty and Agricultural goddess w/cherub and Liberty Cap on pole above. In banner below is "John Adams President Of The United States." Other side features polychrome accented three mast ship captioned "John Adams." Surface cleaning w/minor transfer touch ups most notably on the streamer at top of ship mast. Likely has spout and handle restoration but the seamless nature of the work makes it very difficult to tell. Ultimately this pitcher displays beautifully. Adams material is extremely rare and this is among the nicest display artifacts we have encountered. Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
