Item Description
Lot of 50 each 1-1/8x2-1/8" thick cardboard. 1940s. These are not to be confused with similar cards marked “Engrav-O-Tints” rather each has imprint of “The Owl Drug Co.” on reverse. While many of these same stars appear in both sets photo images are totally different. Front of each card includes stars name and studio name, reverse has fortune. Cards are sometimes found with weight ink stamp imprint on reverse, however all of these are without such an imprint. Stars include Gene Autry, Clark Gable, Judy Garland, Betty Grable, Mickey Rooney, James Stewart, Henry Fonda, Rita Hayworth, etc. NM/Mint.
