Item Description
6.25x8.25" on thin sheet of translucent porcelain likely produced by Koenigliche Porzellan Manufaktur (KPM) in Germany for the American market. Large image of Taylor w/a telescope resting in one arm. Below are five men w/cannon and at lower right is a calvary unit mid-charge w/raised sabers. Above is a spread winged eagle w/its talons holding the staffs of two flowing American flags. Image details are both incised and in relief appearing white until back-lit when the monochromatic effect is revealed highlighting the contrast and subtle details of the image w/a three dimensional effect. Only trivial handling wear. Exc. A prized display item from the Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
