Item Description
24 cards each 2.5x2 7/8” with nice art on fronts, backs are blank. ©1936. From the strip card set “Cartoon Adventures” for which there were 4 different subsets. This is just the complete Buck Rogers subset numbered 425-448. The other subsets are Tailspin Tommy, Tarzan and Bronco Bill (there were 8 cards for each of these subsets bringing the total of the set to 48 cards). The card condition breakdown is as follows: 425, 428, 429, 438, 439 & 448 have obvious wear and aging including creasing, Good. Cards 430, 432, 435, 443 & 447 have moderate trace of aging/dust soiling and a very light crease or two. VG. Cards 426, 434, 437, 444 & 445 have light margin wear/aging most with an extremely minor crease line, Fine. Cards 436, 440, 441 & 446 have trace of margin aging/corner tip wear but remain clean and free of creases. VF. Cards 427, 431, 442 & 443 have just the slightest trace of margin aging and tiny corner tip wear but remain exceptionally clean examples with fairly sharp corners and are Exc. A very difficult set to put together and this is the first complete Buck Rogers set we’ve ever offered.
