Item Description
2.75" oval real photo (no dot screen) pocket mirror with slight cloudiness but with 99% silvering intact. The top 40% shows Minnesota home with small inset profile photo of Lindbergh to left side. Below is New Jersey home in a photo taken very shortly after the March 1, 1932 kidnapping of the 20-month-old son of the Lindberghs. The open window, flanked by shutters, is at very top center of the lower photo. The typewriter style type face at bottom reads in full: Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh's Boyhood Home, Little Falls, Minn. Lower View. Home Hopewell, N.J. Showing Upper Open Window From Which Baby Was Kidnapped." The only example known to us. VF. Rare. Perhaps sold as a souvenir of the Hauptmann trial in Flemington, N.J. Jan.-Feb. 1935.
