Item Description
Lot of eight different 2x3" stamps w/gummed reverse for mounting in "Superman-Tim" monthly magazines. Two are dated; one from 1947 (May) and one from 1948 (Oct.) while remaining stamps are 1940s. One stamp has number by secret code, indicating it is from a third numbered series. Illustrations include Superman rescuing Tim from octopus, fighting Native American (two different) and Greco-Roman warrior, ghost, etc. Seven has small spot of staining on back (not visible on fronts) and two show wear/residue on backs from mounting. Scattered aging/wear. Fine to VF overall. Danny Fuchs Collection.
