Item Description
Disney’s right-hand man left the studio to try his success w/his own character. Flip the Frog enjoyed brief cartoon success and most related merchandise is c. 1930-1932. This striking bw glazed china is reminiscent of how the cartoons themselves appeared. Two smaller pieces of Flip leapfrogging a horse and w/him and friends at a lemonade stand are each 2.5x4x4” tall. The larger and overall triangular shaped planter is 3.5x6x4” tall. This depicts Flip w/three friends singing and accompanied by a lady cow w/flute. Very minor general wear, no chips or cracks. Exc. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
