Item Description
PLEASE NOTE - RING CONDITION IS AS DESCRIBED. WHAT YOU SEE IN OUR PHOTO (ESPECIALLY IF ENLARGED) IS NOT WHAT IS SEEN BY THE NAKED EYE. THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE AMPLIFIES EVEN THE MOST MINOR IMPERFECTION. LOOKING AT THE ITEM IN PERSON AND UNDER NORMAL VIEWING CONDITIONS, LITTLE TO NONE OF THIS IS EVIDENT. WHEN WE GIVE A RING LIKE THIS A HIGH GRADE, THAT IS THE ACCURATE GRADE AND A MORE TRUE ACCOUNT OF THE ITEM AS SEEN IN THE CATALOG PHOTO.

One of two designs from 1941 produced by Ostby & Barton of Rhode Island and used by various dairies participating in the Superman Defense Club milk program. Metal ring w/adjustable band. On the design offered here, the removable top features a raised image of Superman whereas with the other ring design there is a Superman sticker on the inside of the ring top (see next two lots). Superman is shown from the waist up, breaking chains w/diagonal lightning bolt above his image and "S" letter on the upper left of the snap off top. Sides of ring show a star and planet. Moderate luster wear more so on band and side w/planet while rest of ring has much bright luster. VF. Only about a dozen or so examples of this ring variety are known. A rare and desirable premium ring. Robert M. Overstreet Ring Collection.
