Item Description
This series of penny arcade vending machine cards measure 3-3/8x5-3/8" and were distributed over several years and includes examples w/postcard backs as well as blank backs. Card fronts feature borderless photos that are found in different colors and usually include player name, team and league designation at bottom. Plain background cards represent reused cut-out photos from previous years presented on a solid color background, as is the case w/our example offered here. Tris Speaker was a star outfielder for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians throughout the 1910s and 1920s and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. PSA pop report indicates that there have only been three other examples graded at this level with only 11 others graded higher.
