Item Description
This piece is pictured in the full page Geo. Borgfeldt ad on page 51 of Disneyana by Munsey although this example has been shortened from walking stick length to a length of 10.5". The lower part of the wooden rod was neatly cut off just below the decal which reads "Mickey Mouse" and which also features the text "Des. Pat. 82802 By Walt Disney" a patent designation also appearing on items #1680 and #1691-1692. Cane is topped by a large fully three-dimensional head of Mickey made of composition wood. Paint has darkened and has tiny craze lines w/some paint actually gone from the top and side edges of his ears. It appears the original cord at his neck matches that shown in the Borgfeldt advertisement although this is also rather dusty w/age. VG. The only example we've seen.
