Item Description
Unmarked but German, likely c. 1932 w/four digit number incised on rear edge of Mickey's shoe. The fully three-dimensional Mickey figure stands 3.5" tall. There are six tiny air bubble dots and a 1/16" line in the white glaze below his left eye. Also just a little black color off the narrow edge of one ear but overall figure is Exc. Figure is attached to a glazed ceramic designed as an egg w/its top broken open and showing five crack lines around the upper edges. The egg stands 4.5" tall w/2" top opening so it could serve as a planter, vase or perhaps a pen/pencil holder on a desk top. Exterior of egg is Exc., however, one of the simulated crack lines is without the orange accent paint and on the right side of the piece is a .25x.75" area where the glaze is just a little gray in tone, apparently as made. Overall extremely Fine and rare. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
