Item Description
Trio of 4.25x5.5" sketch cards from Matt Feazel who is an American cartoonist that primarily worked in minicomics. He is best known for his humorous The Amazing Cynicalman series and the simple "stick figure" art style he uses for it. Cynicalman appears in the introduction to Scott McCloud's book Understanding Comics, in which Feazell's work is cited as an example of "iconic" art taken to its greatest degree. Al stamp dated 1990. First sketch is "Cynicalmacintosh" done in the Apple II style. Next is "2: Contrast" w/Cynicalman against a brick pattern. Third piece is by artist Don Simpson, who was likely sitting nearby and drew a realistic version of Cynicalman on Feazell's art card. All signed and dated. First piece has two upper right corner creases and some aging to ink. Fine. Other two lt. aging/wear only. Exc.
