Item Description
Box contains Kenner Series 1 Thunder Hawk M.A.S.K. Camaro/Fighter Jet w/Matt Trakker action figure. Kenner's M.A.S.K. toys feature two distinct style of masks, "Short" and "Long." The "Short" masks were originally released w/the first wave of Series 1 in 1985. These masks appeared on the box art of the toys and were more cartoon accurate. In the second wave of Series 1, released in 1986, these "Short" masks were replaced w/the "Long" masks. Offered here is the Second Release "Long Mask" version, which also features some differences to the box, noting "Poster Included" instead of "Comic Book And Poster Included." The box also changed "Sports Car" to "Camaro" for this release. The back of the box also features a blue UPC code (as opposed to black) that also served as proof-of-purchase; previously box had separate proof-of-purchase symbol. There is also a Trademark change noted, as the first wave featured CPG Products Corp. w/1985 date, which was changed to Kenner Parker Toys Inc. w/1986 date. As such, there is a slightly altered layout at this area. Only one example in an AFA 85+ grade according to current AFA Population Report w/seven higher. Jeff Jacob Collection.
