Item Description
This coin was planned as a mail-in offer for the proposed 93-Back Power Of The Force cards. As Kenner's Power Of The Force line ended w/92-Back cards, the coin was never used in an offer. The offer would have allowed collectors to send in proofs-of-purchase to obtain a Power Of The Force coin album, w/a 63rd gold-colored coin to be issued w/album; the only gold coin in the Power Of The Force coin set. Prototypes were produced in metallic gold (in a lighter shade of gold than the Droids series coins) and aluminum as offered here. Few of these prototypes are known to exist today. Front of the coin shows two hands holding a lightsaber as in the Return Of The Jedi Style A movie poster. Back of coin describes the role of Jedi Knights in the Star Wars galaxy. Comes with Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) LOA. Jeff Jacob Collection.
