Item Description
8.75x11.75x1” deep box contains complete Whitman set #2015 ©1940. Moderate box wear/aging with a 3” ink streak at bottom left corner of lid, top right has small moisture stain. Box still tight, Fine. Each book is 8.5x11.5” with cover text “A Story Paint Book” along with matching number of “1059.” Books are: “Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Geppetto, Figaro & Cleo, Blue Fairy, Foulfellow & Gideon.” Four of the six have some coloring in crayon, neatly done. Jiminy Cricket has 1.5” tear at top center margin of front cover. Each has light trace of cover wear but all remain clean copies overall. VF/Exc. Only the third boxed set we’ve seen. This is the actual example as shown in Tomart's Disneyana Update #30 and comes w/a copy of that issue. From the Tomart Archives and comes w/COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
