Item Description
8.5x11.25” with title “Dumbo Comic Paint Book” but this is actually issue #19 of the Large Feature Comic series by Dell Publishing Co. ©1941. Unusual format with cover reading “Color The Pictures-Read The Comics.” Contest are entirely in bw and each page features one large picture to be colored plus two panels reprinting comic story from Four Color Comic issue #17. Moderate cover wear/dust soiling. Cover has one staple pull, .25” split at bottom spine edge. Minor erasure of small penciled price at top corner. Cover still retains a bright and glossy appearance with strong color. VG/Fine. Contents show light aging but are totally unused. Fine/VF. Rare. This is the actual example as shown in Tomart's Disneyana Update #56 and comes w/a copy of that issue. From the Tomart Archives and comes w/COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
