Item Description
1.25" without back paper or maker name. We've also seen this design of a tiger driving an early race car as an enamel lapel stud reading "Tacoma 1914 Auto Races." This  button, only our second seen,  is from a year earlier.  The car engine cover reads "Tacoma 1913" while above is the event name "Montamara Festo" and below are the dates "July 2-3-4-5-6." This 1913 event was the second road race in the Lakeview area of Tacoma, later renamed Pacific Coast Speedway. In 1912-13 it was a dirt track and from 1914-1922 it was a board track. Trivial reverse oxidation. Cello is glossy and Exc. Rare.
