Item Description
Each torch is 58" tall. One torch has standard wooden shaft, while other is in shape of a rifle. The rifle torch has metal details, such as the trigger and trigger guard. Designed to pair w/the military type uniforms worn by torchlight parade participants. Wear consistent w/moderate use. Both are VF. Accompanied by original advertisement produced by J. Hall Rohrman & Son (Philadelphia) in which the two present torch examples are highlighted, including the "globe torch" design and the "straight torch." Advertisement promotes the durability of the new globe torch, stating: "it has but one seam, Cannot Leak, is Very Substantial and handsome in appearance." Advertisement in 10x13" frame and has tiny stain along top center, otherwise light wear. Extremely Fine. A nice grouping that highlights the popularity of the campaign parade torch of the 1880s and 1890s.
