Item Description
8" tall Mego female bodied Joanie Cunningham figure from the hit TV series Happy Days. ©1978 Mego. This figure was obtained from a former Mego designer. This one-of-a-kind, early test shot is the only known example currently. Full production figure has scarf, sweater, skirt, bobby socks and shoes. The authenticity story of this rare figure being offered can be read online at the Mego Museum website. Mego's Happy Days line started w/a popular Fonzie figure and later added Richie, Potsie and Ralph, who proved less popular and the line was canceled before Joanie was added. Mego sculptor Ken Sheller is credited w/the original wax sculpt for this figure as well as a never produced Pinky Tuscadaro. Stapled bag has lt. aging/wear. Original factory sticker on bag has "Joanie" name and inked foreign characters. Figure has expected lt. aging/wear. Some minor graying on nose and cheeks. Overall displays Exc. as originally produced. A unique opportunity to acquire this fresh to auction Mego.
