Item Description
Fabulous fantasy scene of Santa in his tree and gift laden sleigh flicking his whip above seven harnessed eagles pulling him through the night sky. An additional four eagles appear between the sleigh body and the runners. Primary text is "Ahead And Above Them All The Eagle White Lead Co., Cincinnati, O." The top cello sheet is backed by three ink blotter sheets (unused) in pink, blue and cream all held together by a .5" celluloid clip at far left with two brass tabs on the reverse. Tiny type names maker W&H with a 1905 patent date. Other details include snow covered buildings and sleigh side has small scene of worker in overalls with paint cans and stirrer with text "After all/my boy/There's no lead like 'Eagle'". The cello clip also includes company text and eagle logo. Top right corner missing a tiny 1/16" flake with all else Exc. Two known to us. A great Santa blotter and rare.
