Item Description
These early 1930s dolls came in a variety of styles/sizes. This is approx. 15" tall w/felt/velveteen-covered body and pressed felt face w/open mouth and velveteen tongue. This design differs greatly from most Dean's dolls. Underside of foot has "Dean's Rag Book" stitched tag. Doll has oilcloth eyes, all four plastic buttons on pants and string from string tag still around his wrist. Original rubber tail is detached but included. Missing string whiskers but bow around neck is still present (but shows moderate fading). Doll exhibits serious fading to blue on body and show obvious aging to face. Fronts of feet are split. While just VG overall, in this instance we are offering this doll based on rarity over condition, and this is the only example we've seen of this particular doll in our 58 years.
