4.25x8.5". c. 1880s. Rose assumed the role of First Lady when her bachelor brother Grover Cleveland became president. Unmarried, Rose entertained cabinet wives and foreign dignitaries at her brother's side until he married Frances Folsom in the White House in 1886. Elaborate back marks from Rome, Italy photographer.
