Postcards in this series have green background and bw player portrait photo inside a gold ring along w/surname and team in addition to crossed bats, baseball, diamond and fielder/batter. Back is unused, front photo remains sharp. Nap Rucker was a left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Superbas/Robins/Dodgers. Over his 10 seasons, Rucker lead the league in shutouts, complete games, and innings pitched throughout his Brooklyn career. On September 5, 1908, Rucker became the first left-handed pitcher to throw a no-hitter in Dodger history. At the time of cataloging, this was the only copy of this postcard ever graded by PSA.
