Item Description
Just discovered second of two examples found in the collection. 1.75" black name "Kameny" on day-glo red. From the Levin collection. First example had Levin's hand-written paper note clipped onto button reverse "Frank Kameny-First Openly Gay Political Candidate. Ran For Delegate To Congress From D.C., 1971. Lost To Walter Fauntroy." This example is pinned to tan paper with Levin's note "Frank Kameny - First Openly Gay Political Candidate Ran For Delegate To Congress. DC. - 1971 Lost." Our first exceeded $100. Mint as issued and we know of no other examples in the collection.
