Item Description
1-5/8x3". This is among the most complex of the regional advertising back card sets that utilized the fronts generated by Felix Mendelsohn because players have been found that parallel both the M101-5 and M101-4 issues. Additionally the advertising for the St. Louis clothing store on the backs can be found reading both top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top in relation to the front, the latter usually found on a card stock that is whiter than the former. Like the related issues, the Famous and Barr cards were printed in black-and-white. Because of the mixing of M101-5 and M101-4 front, the exact composition of the Famous and Barr set is unknown and checklist additions can be expected.
Ernest Grady Shore (1891 - 1980) was an American professional baseball pitcher. Career highlights include pitching a combined no-hitter on June 23, 1917 and two time World Series champion.
