Item Description
1-5/16" w/ gold and brown inscription surrounding domed center holding browntone photographic portrait. Tin reverse has horizontal pin and embossed text "American Tinplate Made By Norton Bros. Chicago". Original pin replaced on reverse. Moderate wear w/ a few scattered surface scratches and paint loss along outer edges. Fine. A harbinger of the celluloid covered button introduced four years later.
