Item Description
7x10.5" folded size. This dummy is for Gold Key The Three Stooges #44 June 1969. Photo cover w/Moe, Larry and Curly Joe DeRita. Contains back page with ad plus inner cover ads. Cover is color key progressive style color proof. Shop dummies are mock-ups used by the editorial staff to correct comic book front cover art and color problems, and assign ads or one-page comic strips to the inside and back, using color proofs, blueline prints, and tearsheets. All proofs are heavily marked with notes and marks, plus tape, staples, and glue stains. These are unique items, and allow a look inside the printing process used by Western Publishing to produce each comic. Lt. aging/handling wear. Some creasing. Some separation where pages were glued together from aged adhesive. Typed correction notes stapled to cover. VF as made.
