Item Description
13/16" with their full names and the date on each side. This piece is a mate to DeWitt Lincoln 94, Douglas 36 and Bell 28. However, unlike DeWitt's Breckinridge 1860-21/22, on this example the olive spray on the Breckinridge side has only two leaf clusters on the design left of the 1860 date. Both sides have beautiful full luster and both ferrotypes have extremely clear bold portraits. There are two small flaws on the Lane side. At the very bottom a pair of tiny hairline scratches cross his black suit and show very slightly. Also, the ferrotype was set a bit low in the frame so along its upper edge there is a near hairline crescent opening but again this shows very little. Even with the two small flaws on the Lane side, the entire piece is much above the typical example. The Breckinridge side displays essentially Mint.
