Item Description
7x9x4" deep metal by Adco Liberty Mfg. Corp. c. 1954. Front panel depicts Mickey, Pluto and Donald's nephews headed toward a one-room schoolhouse. Back panel depicts Donald and his nephews on a picnic. Both scenes feature the characters w/this lunch box. Band is black/yellow w/character portraits. On top back edge is a separate silvered metal disk attachment w/embossed Mickey portrait. Interior shows only small trace of wear, front panel has heavy wear on top rim w/some bare metal and surface oxidation, other scattered traces of oxidation w/paint at these areas a bit rough to the touch but most of this is only noticeable when viewed closely. Back panel has moderate rim wear w/thin streak of bare metal around entire edge plus pair of 1.5" wider spots of bare metal on bottom edge. Art on back panel shows only small traces of wear in reflected light. Band has lt. wear, paint rubs on left side where child's name was once added as intended. Overall box remains glossy and all color is strong. Still a VG example of this scarce lunch box.
