Auction #182 - Part II
Item numbers 1500-3431 in auction 182
Item Description
8.25" tall metal thermos. Matching bottle to #2497 and features the same
scene of Mickey, Pluto and Donald's nephews that appear on the front panel of
the box. Has plastic cup but missing the cork stopper. Underside rim edge has
three 1/8" to .25" spots of rust w/small holes at these areas. The thin 1/8"
wide bottom rim edge has tiny traces of aging. The seam edge has thin streaks
of bare metal only noticeable when viewed closely. None of this affects the
appearance of the wrap-around scene which is extremely bright and glossy, still
appears N. Mint. We believe this was made only briefly at the start or end of
the run in the production of the lunch box as box is usually found w/generic
bottle. This is one of only a couple thermoses that actually books higher than
the lunch box. Our last example, which was in N. Mint condition, brought
$1080.
