Item Description
When three collectors/dealers with 110 years combined experience have seen and know of only one example of an item, "rare" is an accurate adjective. In this case, "great" is also a fair assessment. 2-3/8" deep with glass cover and fully silvered mirror on underside. Titled simply and elegantly above TR's portrait "1789-1904." In two halves is die-cut head of Washington. Object is to drop three tiny tabs on underside of Washington into three cut-outs around TR's head thus positioning Washington's face, representing the 1789 inaugural as our 1st president, over TR's face representing the logical "1904" choice to follow in Washington's footsteps. Superb condition but noted for accuracy are three narrow .25" long slightly flat spots on top edge of the tin rim but of no real significance. Exc. and unique in the hobby as far as we know.
