3.5x4.5x1" deep box contains watch from the "Birthday Series" of 10 different watches issued in 1948 by Ingersoll/U.S. Time to celebrate Mickey's 20th birthday. Box lid pictures the 10 different characters in this series gathered around Mickey who holds a birthday cake. Box has small surface paper rubs along edges but remains tight and VF. Watch has 1-1/8x1.5" chomed metal case w/dial featuring full figure image of Donald whose hands point at the numerals. Has the original black vinyl over leather straps and the original $6.95 foil price tag is still attached. The plain black box insert is pushed inward w/pair of .5" splits. Crystal has an extremely minor .25" hairline between 1 and 3 o'clock and dial has a few pinpoint marks but all of this is only visible upon very close inspection. Exc. Watch works but not guaranteed to keep time over a 24-hour period.
