Auction #182 - Part II
Item numbers 1500-3431 in auction 182
Item Description
3x4x6" tall all tin litho toy comes in nicely illustrated box. 1950s. Very closely matches #2530 although remains stationary during operation, this version is not designed to walk forward. He appears on all box panels including two different poses of him playing the drum plus portrait on top and bottom flaps. As w/#2530, box has overall minute pinpoint tan spotting, apparently due to the grade of cardboard used but only noticeable when viewed closely. All color remains bright and strong. Top flap has 1" strip of clear tape and .5x1" spot of missing surface paper to the right of his portrait. Fine. Toy works and Donald rocks back and forth as he beats the drum. Center of drum head has 1/16" dot of missing paint, toy has scattered minute paint nicks but appearance remains exceptionally bright and glossy. VF+. Scarce w/box.
