Item Description
5.5" dia. by 5" tall. Lithographed metal w/illustrations of Popeye, Swee'pea, Olive, Wimpy. Olive is seen on left w/sign reading "Now Showing Popeye The Strongest Man In The World." Popeye is in center w/"1000 Lbs" weight in one hand, Swee'pea juggling in other hand and seal w/ball on his nose on Popeye's lap. Below Popeye reads "Popeye's Thimble Theater." To right of Popeye is pile of "500 Hamburgers" and Wimpy dressed in polka dot shorts w/leopard skin strong man top. Below Wimpy reads "© 1919-29-33 King Features Syndicate Inc." Also notation "Made In U.S.A./T. Cohn Inc." Scattered color loss including letters "YES" in bottom text. Color is faded, color loss and lt. corrosion to inside and bottom of pail, metal handle is twisted on one side, numerous dents and unevenness. Good.
