Item Description
1.25" dark blue on red. No backpaper if it had one. The Monarchs were charter members of the re-formed league in 1937. They won 4 consecutive league championships from 1939 to 1942. This button was likely issued for the renewed Negro League World Series in 1942, won in four straight games by Monarchs over Homestead Grays. Some tiny surface scratches barely show in reflected light. Exc. and displays Mint. Rare.
