Item Description
Original watercolor over pencil art by noted comic book artist Sheldon "Shelly" Moldoff is a re-imagining of his classic cover to All-American Comics No. 16 from Jul., 1940 which introduced the Golden Age Green Lantern Alan Scott. Done in 1984, Moldoff has employed a more fine art approach to this piece as later pieces have a quicker and more raw feeling to them. While the same elements to that classic comic book cover remain - Green Lantern leaping along metal girder towards tommy gun-toting criminal, Moldoff was asked to differ this style from that of his original art for the comic book cover. Has signed "Shelly" and added date 1940-'84. Art has been double-matted and framed to a size of 21x25.75". A Mint, beautiful display.
