Item Description
16x20" illustration board with attached paper cover sheet shows beautifully detailed pastel portrait of a St. Bernard with its tongue sticking out. Signed by Lyster. c. 1940s. Lyster was well known in his time for his dog portraits, a fact that is easily understandable given the amount of detail paid to this piece. Board has some dust soiling and 1" to 1.5" areas of discoloration around portrait, not infringing into pastels. These could be easily matted out for an Exc. display.
