Item Description
9x12.25x10.5" deep cardboard carton contained first series Kenner Star Wars figures for the Japanese market. ©1978. Box is marked "Takara," the producer of Japanese Star Wars merchandise (see following item #2368). Die-cut lid design shows scenes from movie and side panels show photo portraits of characters in figure line. Inner flaps are loose at perforations and 1.5x3.5" piece missing from die-cut lid design. This piece remains on other side but with heavy creasing. Scattered creasing to sides. VG. Side panels showing characters still display Fine. From the Tomart Archives, comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
