Item Description
8.5" tall mostly painted tin robot with attached remote control battery box. Nomura Toys, Japan. 1950s. Gold body version has plastic dome on head covering pistons. Toy works and walks forward as pistons move and light red. While walking, he occasionally tips over. A minor adjustment would probably correct this. Plastic dome has about six small bubbles molded into it as produced. Inside of top of dome is a bit cloudy. Rubber hands are still intact and pliable. Body of toy has some wear evident, mostly on back with some light scratches showing in front. Not offensive. Remote has Exc. paint. Fine. Nice robot obviously inspired by Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet.
