Item Description
1950s. 13x8" base with 11x8" die-cut insert contains 11" truck carrying "LaCrosse" missile. When base was assembled, a die-cut "Renwal Blueprint Models" sign stands up in front. The die-cut rear insert discusses the exact model which was "M560 Guided Missle LaCrosse And Launching Truck." This also mentions the scale 3/8" = 1' and says "Assembly Kit Duplicates Original Accurately." Missile is shown on this insert as going into the air with die-cut dust cloud behind it. Insert has crease on one side. Model has been factory-assembled and painted with all decals and realistic features include open hood with detailed engine, hydraulic system to raise and lower missile, many other intricate details. Only defects noticeable are one small tow hook is broken from a pair on the front bumper, slight rippling of paint on roof of cab, small piece of side rail missing. Slight separation of one of "U.S. Army" decals applied to missile. Model and figures are glued to base. Base has corner tip wear. Model has some light dust soiling and would benefit from a cleaning, and aside from the aforementioned defects displays Fine/VF. An interesting model from the 1950s Cold War days.
