Item Description
Point of purchase premium issued in 1934 with articles of clothing made by Norwich Knitting Co. This company produced nice quality Disney clothing such as Mickey Mouse undies, Donald Duck water-repellant jackets and Big Bad Wolf and Three Little Pigs sweatshirts. The original envelope is fragile cellophane 4.5x5” with image printed on each side. This is split along left edge with a .25x1” piece missing from lower left corner. However, still displays nicely with great graphics. Fine. Has 19 of 20 “Performers” which are 1x2” thin cellophane sheets with printed character images. These are to be placed in your hand and the heat causes them to curl and twist as if performing. There are 4 different for Mickey, 2 different Donalds, Minnie, Wolf and Three Pigs plus 8 generic circus performers or animals. Some of the Disney characters are in a circus theme including Mickey as a clown and animal trainer. As issued, these were to be cut apart into individual pieces and this has been neatly done. A couple have a light wrinkle or two, one Donald has a corner bend but overall these fragile pieces remain Exc. Set comes with 4x10.5” instruction card that includes image of hand holding Mickey, Wolf and Pig. Title reads “The Biggest Little Show On Earth Is About To Begin.” Detailed text includes list of Norwich products. Card has scattered light handling creases, VF. Rare due to its very fragile nature. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
