Auction 192 - Part II
Item numbers 1053 though 2638 in auction 192
Item Description
6.25x8.75x2" deep. 1930s. Center features large image of Minnie Mouse with her name below and to the left of this running vertically is an image of Pluto. Images remain distinct although lower jaw line of Minnie is mostly missing. Has near full gold rim trim. Company mark on underside center has been covered by metallic gold paint as issued, directly below this is full company mark including Mickey Mouse image and text "Authorized By Walter E. Disney." These Bavarian pieces were imported into the US by the Schumann Company of New York City. There is some speculation that there is a connection behind them and the Salem China Company and this is detailed in Tomart's Disneyana update, Issue No. 25 in which this very plate is featured. The plate remains totally bright and glossy. Exc. From the Tomart Archives.
