Rarely seen design consists of circular embossed brass frame having raised circle of stars around raised oval accent with slightly recessed oval ferrotype at center having his name above his head. Reverse has dot of solder holding original vertical brass pin. In most angles of light, a diagonal line crosses from about 4 o'clock to 10 o'clock. This is just a hairline and the emulsion o/w appears totally glossy and clean. Only under magnification is there a minute pinpoint gray dot on left bkg. and the tiniest speck of gray color off his forehead just along the hairline. Brass frame has N. Mint bright luster. Rare.
