Auction 193 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 799 in auction 193
Item Description
1.5" celluloid beautifully shaded with highly detailed steel engraving style image. Reverse has a covered tin back painted black with a horizontal bar pin extending from a pair of openings in the metal back. There is the barest trace of some age tone on his white shirt front and a tiny hairline along the extreme lower right where his coat forms the button's edge. Still overall appearance is Exc. Very early use of celluloid. We've seen a similarly made piece for McKinley. Rare.
