Item Description
7x8.75" folded double sheet of "The White House/Washington" stationery with typed text and bold black ink signature. Small marks from a paper clip at upper left corner and small amount of fainter tan age marks on lower half left side margin. Dated January 9, 1948. Truman thanks Otto Eisenschiml for a copy of the book "The American Iliad." Eisenschiml was an Austrian chemist and president of the Scientific Oil Compounding Company and also wrote in 1937 "Why Was Lincoln Murdered" which laid the deed on Secretary of War Stanton. Fine. Comes with Hake's COA.
