Item Description
1.5x3.5". Unused cardboard ticket and stub. Blue front faded to gray but clean. Event was in Los Angeles on November 12, 1971 at Memorial Sports Arena. Daniel Ellsberg, former Pentagon and state department official, copied 7,000-page secret Vietnam war report and turned it over to Neil Sheehan of the Times in March. The first articles showing the federal government mislead the public about the reasons behind the Vietnam war were published Sunday June 13, 1971. Nixon's efforts to stop additional articles lead to one of the most important First Amendment court cases. Other than the newspapers themselves, the only article we've seen relating to Ellsberg. Rare with serial number 02419.
