Item Description
1" purple on white showing elk with initials for black fraternal lodge "I.B.P.O.E.W." (Improved Benevolent And Protective Order Of Elks - founded 1899 and modeled after B.P.O.E.). Text reads "Civil Rights Day" and date "Jan. 20, 1949" is Truman's inaugural day. Many but extremely fine and light hairline surface scratches in certain light angles but still totally clean. Cello surface is hair concave if it ever was otherwise but this has no visual impact. No backpaper likely as issued. VF, with normal viewing displays Mint. Only example known to us. Rare.
