27x41" one-sheet for c. 1938 version of the Universal 13-episode serial originally released in 1936. Poster is for "Filmcraft Picture" release. Starred Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon and poster features action illustration at top of Flash attacking an ape-like creature w/horns as rocket ship flies by. At lower left are two different film images of him while at lower right is illustration of scantily clad space vixen. Top right corner has 5.5" tear which had tape repair on reverse causing trace of staining on the front although mostly blends. Top half of poster has clear tape on reverse of the original fold lines repairing a number of small scattered tears. Overall appearance remains bright and clean w/great color. Would benefit greatly from linen mounting and appearance for display is still Fine.
