Item Description
2.25" litho has some scratching around letters "ative" but rest is quite clean. Composed of American youth and supported by Eleanor Roosevelt. Group formed in 1935 and by 1939 claimed 4.5 million members. Also in 1939, the Dies Committee subpoenaed leaders, a core from the Young Communist League. Mrs. Roosevelt attended the hearings and invited the witnesses to board at the White House. During one "Congress Of Youth," they joined Mrs. Roosevelt for a picnic on the White House lawn. Fine and Rare.
