Item Description
7/8" reads "For U.S. Senator Wm. Alden Smith." He served Michigan's 5th C.D. from 1895-1907 when he joined the Senate. He chaired famous disaster hearings that began in NYC's Waldorf Astoria hotel the day after the survivors landed. The Senate transcripts were used extensively for James Cameron's 1997 Academy Award film "Titanic." N. Mint, displays Mint.
